Conveyancing assistant

We are currently seeking to recruit a full time, conveyancing assistant who has been practising for 6 months. We are a professional firm but we pride ourselves on being friendly and open to our clients. Your role will be to help our conveyancers manage our clients and assist with the day-to-day running of property transactions.

As part of this role you would be expected to:

  • Talk to clients and other parties by telephone, e-mail and face-to-face, as well as give advice to clients and update other parties on the progress of transactions from initial instructions through to confirming completion.

  • Deal with routine administration throughout transactions, which will involve dealing with lots of paper and e-documents, passing information onto various correspondents correctly and adhering to strict timescales and deadlines. Training will be provided.  

  • Use our case management system and other software, which enables us to be as efficient as possible. Full training with the systems will be provided; the systems in place are constantly reviewed for ease of use and efficiency for all staff.

  • Take a collaborative approach with other team members as well as with all parties to transactions, as this is a key part of conveyancing.

Before applying, please note the following essential requirements for this role:

  • GCSE grades A*-C or 9–4 in English and Maths

  • At least 6 months’ experience working in conveyancing

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs

It would also be desirable to have experience working with a case management system.

The role provides a salary of £16,000 to £19,000 per annum depending on experience level.

New Business Advisor

We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time, business advisor. We are a professional law firm but we pride ourselves on being friendly and open to our clients. Your role will be to assist members of the public in selecting Lambert Pugh LLP as their Conveyancing Solicitors.

As part of this role you would be expected to:

  • Deal with incoming calls and emails for quotes and related queries.

  • Convert requested quotes into new business for the firm.

  • Handle all contact with potential clients from their initial enquiry through to formal instruction.

  • Assist with incoming calls on existing matters when required.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all potential and existing clients.

  • Deal with all work in a timely and professional manner.

  • Uphold our ethos of providing a professional, understandable and efficient service to all.

Receptionist

Receptionist required at a busy Conveyancing Solicitors Firm Duties:
  • Provide a professional front of house service to all visitors and clients

  • Dealing with incoming/outgoing post

  • Dealing with phone enquiries, re-directing calls from the main switchboard

  • Any other general duties as required

The desired candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, both in person and on the telephone. You will be computer literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft word and excel. Experience with a case management system is an advantage.

You will have good organisational skills and be able to work independently.
